Creature Feature

Different forms of stance:

Couchant is a position which involves the animal resting on its legs with its head raised. this stance is usually used on coat of arms and mostly featured with a lion as the animal in question.

Guardant is a stance in which the body faces sideways and the head faces towards the viewer. this is also featured on most coat of arms and flags.

Standant is a stance in which the animal in question is shown standing up with its feet on the ground.

Rampant is a stance in which  the animal is reared with its arms up in fromt of it, head facing right allong with the body.
